A Message from the NCWTA President
Dear Friends of the NCWTA,
The North Carolina World Trade Association plays a leading role in
supporting our state¡¯s businesses in the international marketplace.
Exports are a key component of North Carolina¡¯s economy. As more
and more North Carolina companies take advantage of overseas market
opportunities, the future of international trade in this state looks
very promising.
North Carolina has one of the most successful export programs in the
country. Our state¡¯s exports have grown steadily for the last 10 years.
The total value of goods exported by firms in the state exceeded $22
billion in 2009, ranking the state the 16th leading exporter among all
states.
NCWTA promotes growth of global commerce by providing education
and networking opportunities. The events organized and coordinated by
the local chapters of NCWTA fosters positive relationships with the
international community. Invited speakers share their best practices
pertaining to world trade and examine issues involved in conducting
business successfully in global markets.
